ND filters alone aren’t enough, settings and how to use Polar Pro ND filters on a GoPro

Short version is lower your shutter speed and yes, you can just throw a ND filter on it and Bob’s your uncle but you’re not going to get the most out of it unless you do use these couple of methods to slow the shutter speed down.


GoPro will prioritise raising the ISO instead because that’s the safest method for a default user. However, if you don’t want that and you want a little more control over how your footage looks, these are the methods I use to control my shutter speed and get that fast, cinematic looking shots.
